I am a non-stocking (special orders only) FFL dealer in class 1 firearms in the state of Indiana. I am also licensed by the State of Indiana
to sell handguns. I am a registered business with the Indiana Dept. of Revenue;
therefore I am required to collect the 7% Indiana Sales
Tax on all in-state sales. If I receive a gun to be turned over to you; you first
must fill out an ATF Form 4473. I am also required to do a NICS background check on all individuals purchasing or receiving
a transferred firearm through me including long guns and lowers. This is included in my transfer fee.
Multiple firearms will be charged $20 per gun unless otherwise agreed to before the transfer and may
require a Form 3310.4 (Report of Muliiple Sale or Other Disposition of Pistols and Revolvers). Lowers do not require
this form but will be considered a firearm and charged a separate Transfer Fee for each lower.
For transfers I charge $20 for one way and $35 for in and out trades. For new gun purchases I charge actual cost plus at least a $20 markup (which includes all FFL paperwork)
plus actual shipping cost and Indiana Sales Tax where applicable. Large orders
could be more than $20 depending on the amount of work I have to do.
Packaging will be the responsibility of the customer.
DO NOT seal the box until I have the opportunity to check the serial
number on the gun as that needs to be written in my FFL bound book. If you want
me to take your shipment to UPS, the US Post Office or FedEx that will be an additional charge to be determined and I will
have to charge 7% sales tax on that cost. If you do your own shipping there is
no sales tax on my end. My transfer service fee is also not taxable. If I order a firearm for you I will add a small markup to the price I pay. My reimbursement for my time is from the FFL service therefore I make the same if you use my distributors
or find the firearm yourself and choose me to be your FFL to receive the merchandise. A FFL can use the USPS to ship to another
FFL, which is usually less money than UPS or FedEx so request that from the company you are buying from. Again if I have to
go to the US Post Office I will charge for my time.
I will not always have the lowest price but will do my best to get you as low a one as
possible. You need to shop for the best price for yourself beyond my distributors. Buying
yourself and using me as the receiving FFL might save you the sales tax if you buy out of state.
All orders need a paid deposit in advance before I submit them to my distributors. If I can combine
orders to reduce shipping costs I will work with my customers. If you are not
in a big hurry to get your firearm allow me to combine your order with another customer to keep shipping costs to a minimum.
Again, I must collect Indiana Sales Tax on all orders; I don’t keep a penny and I have to forward it to the State of
Indiana and file paperwork in the process. It is not my favorite thing either. I will collect shipping and state tax monies at the time of delivery.
